Drafts/Draughts documents a conversation exploring the
migration of ideas between real and imagined, conceptual
and material in the making and reception of contemporary
art. Exploiting the poetic and conceptual potential of key
functions in computer-aided design packages as suggestive
devices for thinking, it attends to a range of issues currently
preoccupying those involved in academic and professional
art contexts. These include strategies for teaching fine
art, the relationship of academic research to art practice,
the complexities of working with exerts from other disciplines,
and techniques for engaging audiences and participants.
